About CA Sanjay Kumar Agrawal

Born in 1970 at Vrindavan, the Krishna Brij bhoomi, in a middle class family of Hathras, a town in Uttar Pradesh, India. Elementary education was held at Hathras till 12th standard always stood first in the class and lead the class as monitor from 2nd standard to 12th Standard with 100% attendance continuously for 6 years. Also Lead as Captain of Cricket team at school level competitions, committed member of NCC (National Cadet Corps.) throughout schooling and won many awards on school debate competition.

At the age of 17, I have decided to do CA when my Elder brother CA Dinesh Agrawal became CA in 1987. The interesting part is that in 1987 when he qualified CA, I even do not know what exactly CAs are supposed to do but one thing is very clear that becoming CA is great pride not only for the family members but also for the city as a whole.

After passing 12th, I dream of doing graduation from Delhi University and I got sufficient marks so as to get admission in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, New Delhi. I face lot of problems while at college due to change of Hindi medium to English but successfully completed B. Com (Hons) in 1991.

Now its time to fulfill my childhood dream to become CA so I joined CA course through direct entry in 1991 and It was thrilling experience watching my final result at ICAI Bhawan, Delhi. I remember that day when I started from Faridabad to ICAI Bhawan, Delhi on my friend’s bike, the whole journey is even today out of my memory due the level of thrill I observed.

Now when I return out of my dream, I realize that I am not interested in all the opportunities open for me viz. practicing with my brother, join as account manager in any company or go abroad to work there due to traditional way of doing work. That was very bad phase of my life as I was miles away the career I dream of, therefore accept this as challenge and sharpen my skills with technology persuing Computer languages, oracle RDBMS and finally Oracle ERP application from Oracle India, New Delhi.

This technological upgrade boosted my professional career and I actually started my professional career of my choice after 5 years struggle. ERP opened up opportunities for me in Gurgaon, an emerging hub for Multinationals and enabled me to develop my professional practice with large companies.

With the growth of economic activities in the Country, I upgraded myself with post qualification courses on Information System Audit (ISA), certification on International Taxation, certification on Goods and Services Tax & very recently on Insolvency Professional registered with IBBI.

I never looked back and excel my career in newer professional opportunities and shared my experience and knowledge with professional colleagues since last 15 years in Gurgaon as Chairman, secretary of Gurgaon Branch of NIRC of ICAI and speaker on cross border transactions at ICAI CPE programmes and Trade & Industry Associations.

Now Its time to repay what I owe to my great ICAI when the profession & brand CA is on cross road & needs contribution from each one of us to maintain the Pride, Dignity & Integrity of Brand CA by using your democratic right to get heard and perform professional duty to prefer and elect right voice, right choice to LEAD The Brand CA at next level.
